Experience Divine Grace

The temple's origins trace back to the legend of Arunasura, who, fortified by a boon from Brahma and blessings from Goddess Saraswathi, grew invincible. In his reign of terror, the gods beseeched Adhishakti for aid. Disguised as Mohini, she enticed Arunasura and ultimately vanquished him, taking the form of a furious bee known as 'Bhramara.' In reverence, the Devas and sages conducted a sacred bath for Devi with tender coconut water, beseeching her to manifest in a gentle form. Responding to their plea, Devi emerged as a symbolic rock linga in the midst of the River Nandini, known henceforth as Shree Durga Parameshwari.
